Chapter 16.

1- describe a decision you struggled to make.

   
   The most difficult thing is to leave your family when you were 18. It was a year ago, when I left my family and came to the  USA. Last year has totally changed my life, to be more responsible for everything. That's made me stronger than what I was. Also, I read an English quote it's said  " bad decisions make great stories" when I read this quote I remember what I did.


3- what was the longest period of time you were absent from school? What happened?


          Before three years ago I had  surgery on my right knee. That happened, when i was playing soccer someone hit me in my knee. I was crying in the middle of the stadium. I was thinking that I couldn't walk at play again. Also, I got A medical excuse for three months. I think that is the most beautiful thing of this story.

    The most thing that would make me happy is when I go to with my family to our farm. Each Friday my family go to our farm and stay the whole weekend there. However, when I get there I spend the best moments of my life, because we are a big family and we are all be there. Me and my cousin, we are almost 20 and all of us boys. We always divide the works between each other, ten of us should be in the farm before the family comes to clean everything. The other ten come with family to bring them to the farm. I miss that moments a lot. Also, my family call me every weekend when they get there.

Chapter 15.

1- if you learned that you would not have to go to school for the rest of your life, would you rejoice?

      The studying is not that easy, but I'm really sure that if you love what you study you don't care how difficult it is. However, the school is the most important thing in my life. When I got a long vacation I would be rejoice, but in the middle of the vacation I'm sure I would be bored.







2- describe the time when you trembled in fear or excitement?

     When I was a little child, there was a story of  an old woman. This story my mom used to tell me about it if I did something wrong to scared me. When I heard the story in the first time, my parents saw me crying  in front of  their room. I was really trembling in fear at that time. My family until this time laugh on me.

        The tolerance is the greatest thing in the life. There are a lot of problems in the world, they all became when we lose the tolerance. However, the problems became even between the brothers, so most people support the person who forgives the other. When you forgive someone did something wrong with  you, you'll be proud of yourself and everyone going to respect you more.

     The dreams become reality. The first dream of my life to finish the English language. Right now I am almost there. However, the English is going to open a lot of things for me such as, to study Mechanical engineering in USA. When I learned a little bit of  this language. I thought that I'll finish the English language after 3 or 4 years. In fact, I have been studying this language 7 months and I did a lot of work that I didn't do it in my own language. I'm very proud of myself and proud of my teachers!! When I came my goal was to learn the English language, but now I build a new goal, to be a Mechanical engineering. Also I'm sure when I finish my major I'll think about something better.

Chapter 14.

What is essential for your happiness?

     The most essential things for my happiness. First, to be with my family and friends. In this time I'm very far away from my family and friends, but I got a lot of friends from anywhere I couldn't even think that I will be with them before. Second, if I see all people around me are happy that makes me the happiest person ever.


Some professional athletes make a lot of money. Do you think they deserve such high salaries?


     In my opinion,There are  some athletes deserve high salaries, not all the athletes. The best athletes can make most of the people happy. Also, they can disappear the haters between the people by sports.
Also, they can make a huge game and give the Profits to the poor people.

Chapter 11.

Do you feel that people where you live consume too much energy ?

           The most consume in my country is gasoline. In my home the people always acquire the gasoline by cheap cost. As everyone knows my country is export the oil to the whole world. So, it should get much cheaper than anywhere. When I came to USA I knew that we are very lucky about that.


Tell a true story from your life about a dare. Who dared you, or whom did you dare? What happened?


     When I graduate from high school, I had a dream that to study Mechanical engineering in USA.
There were a lot of people who are make it difficult for me and for my father. At that time my father agreed with them, and he tried to Persuade me. I have never listened to anyone because that my dream and I have to do it. A few months later, my father agreed with me and I came to USA, and I'm on my way to achieve my dream.

Chapter 12.

1-what can you boast about?

      There is a lot of things I can boast about, like as soccer player and English learner. 

First of all, I can't stop speaking when I tell anyone about my existence when I was playing soccer. In fact, I just played for 5 years in my team club. In this 5 years I did a lot of things such as, played with Saudi national team in 2011 in South Korea. We played until the final, it was my best moment in my life ever. However, I can also boast about my English. As everyone knows, in my country especially my city is hard to find person speak English. Also, I always teach my little brothers and sisters in the English language by tango or Skype. Finally, I'm really proud of myself for do a lot of things in my life and I'm still young also I'll never stop doing what I think about. 

2- what's a popular holiday in your native country? What's the traditional way to celebrate? 

        In my country there are a lot of strange holidays, like Aid Alfeter and Aid Aladha they're almost the same. Aid Alfeter is first day after Ramadan monthe that we fast on it and Aid Aladha is the first day after haj time . We always start this days by praying to god. After that, each family set together and have breakfast. When the breakfast finish everyone go outside and see their friends. In addition to that, everyone has to wear the beautiful and the best dress they have. 

Chapter 10.

Name an example of severe weather that you've experienced. How severe was it ?

       When I came to USA at the first time, it was snowing. I wasn't wearing any jacket and It was -30 degrees. Also I was finding a hotel and I didn't speak English at all. I was really in trouble at that time. At that moment, there was an Arabic guy. He saw me about to die and asked me in Arabic "do you need help". When I heard him I already hug him and I was about to cry. Finally, he found a hotel for me. That the most severe weather I've experienced ever.

2- what kinds of products does your country exports? Do you know which countries these exports go to?

          My country exports the most important thing in the world, which is the Oil. A long time ago my country has been sending the oil to whole the world. Also, my country and USA have contract between each other. Moreover, Saudi Arabia is occupies the first country in the world in exports the oil. I'm very proud of my country for that.

Chapter 9 .

1- Do you think that parents should have the authority to tell a teenager which career he or she should seek? Explain.

       In my opinion, there is no one need from you to be the best except your parents. However, the parents should advise their boys and girls to the right way. That's doesn't mean the authority to choose  their boys and girls major. They can be visible to your future better than anyone else. Finally, the best in my opinion is to seeking your favorite career with your parents, like what I did.


2- would you rather be really excellent at one sport for a brief amount of time or good at this sport for many years? Explain.

         I have been playing soccer since I was child. The soccer is part of my life. In the past, my family tried to limited the soccer in my life because they couldn't see me in the house. I was playing all the day even in the school. The soccer is my authority in my life.
